為了隔離基於瀏覽器的攻擊，Microsoft Edge在Windows 10上提供了基於硬件的隔離技術。微軟現在將此安全解決方案作為Google Chrome和Mozilla Firefox的擴展發布。以下是Windows Defender Application Guard擴展在Chrome和Firefox上的工作方式：

當用戶訪問由企業管理員定義的安全性較低的網站時，此擴展程序會將用戶重定向到WindowsDefender Application Guard for Microsoft Edge。

在Edge的隔離會話中，用戶可以導航到任何站點，但不會對PC的其餘部分造成任何風險。如果用戶在隔離的Microsoft Edge會話中嚐試轉到企業站點，則會將用戶帶回默認瀏覽器。
